(Myrtle Beach, SC) On Tuesday the Westerville North High School baseball team had the opportunity to play at Field at Pelicans Ballpark – home of the minor league Myrtle Beach

Pelicans, an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Their opponent was Eastlake North High School who is also from Ohio.

The Warriors didn’t waste time taking care of business jumping out to a 9-0 lead after the first two innings of play. They kept the pressure on and won the game by a score of 15-4 in five innings and improved their overall record to 3-0 in this young season.

Sophomore Ty O’Hearn earned the victory pitching 3.2 innings allowing just four hits, one earned run, two walks, and two strikeouts. Junior Auri Dover finished the game allowing just one earned run, one hit, two walks, and a strikeout.

Offensively the Warriors put up a season high 14 hits. Dover had three hits in the game and O’Hearn also had two. Other Warriors with multiple hits were seniors Brandon Bond and Andrew Dellasanta.

After a day off to enjoy with their families, Westerville North will face-off against Eastlake North High School again on Thursday at The Ripken Experience baseball complex at 11:00AM. #WeAreWarriors
